Getting to know... the Estimating team

GEZE UK’s Estimating team is one of the largest in the UK. Focusing on supply and fit, it provides expert help and factual guidance to specifiers and contractors.

Working closely with the sales team, the highly trained estimators produce individual detailed proposals for the supply and installation of automatic door products, check compliance with legislation for specifications and negotiate the best lead times for the client.

Director, contracts and service, Paul Ryan commented: “Our estimators tell it how it is – what’s possible and what’s not. It’s their job to put forward the best solution for our clients, solving problems that occur along the way and ensuring speedy turnarounds. Our team is still growing and with the appointment of Paul Hepburn in the new Glasgow office, we’re able to offer local expertise throughout the UK.”

Mark Roberts (centre)
Mark has 16 years of industry experience, 11½ of them at GEZE UK. Mark’s most memorable project is Sheffield Bus Interchange, as he says ‘it became a template which we’ve used across the UK'. His favourite place to visit is Sydney and in his spare time he enjoys playing and watching football.

Steven Chandler (2nd from left)
Steven has 14 years of industry experience, 6½ of them at GEZE UK. Steven’s most memorable project is Paradise Street, and its many sites, that are part of Liverpool One, which formed a huge development. His favourite place to visit is Paphos and in his spare time he enjoys walking and cycling.

Brian Lacey (4th from left)
Brian has 6 years of industry experience all at GEZE UK. Brian’s most memorable project is Riverside 4 Dublin as it was an analytical challenge. His favourite place to visit is Rome and in his spare time he enjoys national hunt racing.

Jodie Francis (right)
Jodie has 4½ years of industry experience, 4 of them at GEZE UK. Jodie’s most memorable project is Broomfield Hospital and its many revisions. Her favourite place to visit is Dominican Republic and in her spare time she enjoys horse riding and spending time with her son Jack.

Paul Turvey (left)
Paul has 2½ years of industry experience all at GEZE UK. Paul’s most memorable project is Modern Art Oxford, where he worked closely with the architect to create an aesthetic design. His favourite place to visit is Glen Roy in the highlands of Scotland and in his spare time he is an air cadet instructor and enjoys aviation, marksmanship and adventure training.

Paul Hepburn (GEZE Scotland)
Paul has 8 years experience but he has only been at GEZE UK for 7 weeks. His most memorable project is the RBS rollout during 2002-3, it was the largest automatic door project in the UK. His favourite place to visit is Munich, for the Beerfest and in his spare time he enjoys football and boxing.
