High Tech Software Enhances GEZE Service

The UK’s leading manufacturer of door and window control systems, GEZE UK, is pioneering an innovative Mobile Service Solution (MSS) to enhance the service offered by its team of highly qualified engineers.

Developed in Germany, the technology uses GPRS enabled PDA’s to speed up administrative processes by sending data in real time, enabling engineers to report on jobs while on site, enhancing accuracy and efficiency.

The fully integrated software is tailored for GEZE UK’s exact requirements, ensuring all jobs can be scheduled, confirmed, updated and prepared for invoicing almost immediately. The new system avoids duplication, reduces the potential for human error and enables staff to create customer reports within 15 minutes of job completion.

Key members of the Midlands service team were selected to pilot the software for a year, to analyse the time saved, monitor improved efficiencies and assess its benefits to the environment. “As a result, the whole team has adopted the PDA’s, which are swiftly becoming indispensable,” commented GEZE UK’s operations director, Paul Ryan.
